Make our new reality count for something. If you have always wanted to write a book, but don’t know how, use this time to change that.
What strange times we are living in. Half of humanity stuck behind closed doors, while the other half are doing battle with the Coronavirus. I feel like I’m living in a plot from a dystopian future novel. One thing is for sure, many of us now have more time on our hands than ever before.
Who hasn’t thought ‘I’d love to write a book… if only I had more time.’ I hope that something positive can come out of this current situation and that all those people will finally get their chance to let those stories out.
As the MD of Lavender and White, I’ve written over 15 books, in multiple genres and know how hard it is. It’s one thing to have the time, but the actual process of how to get the words out can be very difficult. Turning a half formed, hazy idea into a reality can be such a daunting task. How do you actually write a book? How many words do I need? How do I keep the plot exciting?
Many, many successful authors have begun their careers during times when their lives were on hold, through illness, or work interruptions. Or such as now, through a pandemic which is keeping us all locked down in our homes.
At Lavender and White, my team work with authors, editing their manuscripts, proof reading, doing cover design and all of the other jobs that go to make a bestselling book. One of my favourite roles within the company is to mentor writers, one to one helping them to turn their ideas into a reality. While the current lockdown situation exists throughout the world and so many people are uncertain about their future, I’d love to be able to do my bit to help.
With that in mind I’ve slashed the price of mentoring, to just £100, or your currency equivalent for five, thirty minute online sessions with me, where I will help you turn those ideas into a real book and maybe kickstart a whole new career for yourself.
